I Haz this idea

A quick look at my latest sidecar...
Sidecar?... I think a sidebike is a better name..
Idea behide it....
To design/build a enduro sidecar so the passanger could
have full movement like the darka units , but with a seat..
Any seat across the car would restrict movement foward & aft..
So design it to resemble a motorbike with the wheel under the seat.
And I could then use a single shock & linkage..

So heres the start.. I will have a WR seat & rear gaurd.
front coming up to a grab rail "handle bars" with sides
slopeing down to the rear of the foot boards..

Be interesting to see how it goes...

Very ingenious. :P

Now I'm wondering what would it take to make it 2WD. You'd need a way to lock and unlock it on the fly, like a Ural rig... :P

Maybe run a driveshaft off of the counter shaft to another bearing supported sprocket on the other swingarm pivot. Then install a coupler to disconnect the driveshaft.

Pete, you're a mad scientist! I'm looking forward to watching this project move forward.

I love this, a really great idea and I look forward to seeing how it turns out!

Have you found any volunteers to pilot the side bike yet?!?
