Better headlight bulbs!!

Hello China riders!.!

I'm wanting some info on better headlight bulbs. I disassembled my headlights and found that I have 12v 18/18w light bulbs. I found some 12v 35/35w bulbs that look like the same design. Will my electrical system hold up? Or will they even mount in the same holes?

Thanks!

HID KIT!

That link isn't bulbs.
I think it depends on your battery capacity also.
What bike do you have?

Alternator supports those output w/o draining battery . Will the reflector melts it's another matter.

A good point. LED lights might be a better plan, since they don't produce noticeable heat.

Are there any led lights that could put out comparable light?

Thank you human being for clearing up that

I might try some 35watt bulbs and see what happens. If they work ok I'll upgrade to an hid kit. The hid kit may put out less heat.

I think the ddm lights are looking like a really good option. They are even cheaper than the PIAA replacement bulbs. The PIAA bulbs are $89 for 2. Ddm hid kit is only $39bucks. Just Got wire up the ballasts and mount. Easy cake.

Be aware that the DDM HID light for bikes has very short cables. If you can mount the ballast and other accoutrements in a fairing, it's no big deal. If you're mounting the ballast under the seat, be prepared to add some wire to the existing cables. The reason I haven't installed mine yet.

my two cents

I have employed the Tusk H6M headlight bulbs in my Honda CRF250X. They do a very good job. In the future, you can purchase them directly from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for a better price.

However, I stopped using the Tusk incandescent bulbs after I converted to an LED headlight. You can read about my conversion at the following thread.

Thanks spud I just checked your thread, that led is bright! I could definitely spend 20 or 30 each layer on for those

Trust me, you will love this LED bulb. However, the bulb is long, and you must make sure there is enough room for it to fit behind your headlight shroud. I needed to trim the heat sink on my bulb so it would not contact the steering stem of the bike's frame.

I just installed these today. After checking out the led lights I don't think they will fit in my small housings.
