New Toys
Mrs. C and I hit a lot of clearance sales this past week. I got some new 'from me, to me' toys this past week. This is stuff, that if I ask for, I'm told that it "isn't a fun present", so I end up with socks.
A few pics, here' a list. A Barska metal detector. I plan on being that old fat guy on the beach someday. A Sons of Arthritis/Ibuprofen Chapter t-shirt. I've been a member since at least 2005. My own espresso maker. Little bitty thing. Makes GOOD stuff. Squirrel! Some small things for the CX; a 5v/12v handle bar mounted charger, voltmeter, and a fuse box. The best one is a small plasma cutter. Been wanting one for years but couldn't justify the outlay. This one, a 120v Campbell-Hausfeld, was on clearance and fills the bill for my garage. Not the Hydrotherm I have at the shop, but nice enough for what I do at home. I got 10 seconds tied up in each of the ginger bread men. I'd starve if I had to depend on my artistic ability.

That t-shirt is awesome!
I really like stove-top espresso makers. I have one with a separate valve that allows for better steam control. I use it when I'm camping. I'd starve if I tried to make a living off of metal fab. I'm waaay too slow.

I want a plasma cutter. The cost has been a major factor. Would like to know more about the CH model.

Weld-I saw the t-shirt and had to get it. And this is my first espresso maker. Almost too small for the kitchen stove but should work well on almost all of my camp stoves. The Sterno folder with a Trangia burner may be the best candidate.

I would likely need to upgrade my air compressor to use one, but that model is actually affordable compared to the hobarts at the farm store.

The minimum compressor isn't that big, 1.25CFM at 40psi. Admittedly, I'm running a larger compressor, 7CFM, if memory serves with a 30gal tank. The plasma cutter seems really happy 40 psi.
