Measure your sprocket to be sure. This is my guess: http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/5208

My 2007 Lifan 200GY5 uses the JTR269 rear but the JTF1264 front.

You only use 4 of the 8 mounting holes.

do you guys think a 36 t sprocket is to high? Should I just use 44t ? I just want to be able to cruise at 55mph without killing my bike . I dont like to beat on my stuff so I rather keeps rpm as low as possible with ok power. Its oly a 150cc but It runs very well Im jut using a 26mm carb right now as well .I have two brand new keihins with acceration pumps a 27mm and a 30mm. Only to find the shock mount hits when I try to put it on i have a intake kit coming maybe I can turn it to get either to fit.Its a reALLY nice performance intake . Its only a 150cc .

All you can do is try it. A 36 tooth with my weight would not hit 55mph. With somebody 60lbs lighter, it might.

Ok I'm going o try a 39 I think which will give me a 2.29 or so ratio.I weigh about 180 -85, I thought I might be able to do it because I was in 4th gear aprox 40 mph at 4000 rpm and it goes to 8000 right. How high of rpm is ok for cruising like 6000? 5500? I would like to do like 55 at a cruise. I can run this a little high I am building its replacement but want to ride this one til she goes.Im leaving the knobbies til spring and ill change sprockets and tires at the same time. Then if this engine start to knock or something (i dought it) then I'll put the xr200r in with 27 hp and six gears.

I think 6000rpm would be ok for awhile. The point is to not have the throttle pinned all the time, and to select ratios that neither have the engine screaming nor lugging.

ok well i will try the 39 ,that should pull a little better than the 36t. Or were you talking about a real little guy like 145 -150.I do have the 44t rear now but I don't think it will be tall enough to go very fast.If Im going from a 56 I will have to take out se links or just tighten the chain?

I'm only guessing, so I don't know which ratio would be ideal for you. Yes, the lighter the rider, the faster the bike, but I don't know where the tipping point is. You'll find it.

Yes, you'll likely need to remove some links. HF sells a chain breaker that is good, fast and cheap. Rarely do you get all three in one.

I had a custom 40 tooth sprocket for my old TMEC (it had the stock 17 tooth front) and it was too high of gearing. I even played with front sprockets (16, then a 15) and the bike still felt a little too vague--I had to drop down to 4th for my several mile run in a 50 mph zone (traffic runs at 60) and I still felt I was out of the powerband! A 44 tooth should be fine for your purposes.

ok thank you I will put the 44t I have on. I cant wait to show you guys the new look . I'm waiting for the new front end to show up so I can finish it so I can show you guys. I'm going to ride the xr 70 with a 150cc piranha in the mud and dirt and on the ice .We have ice drags where I live and I can stud the rear an have a great bike to play on! This bike Im going to put this lifan on the road and ride it around to save on gas .I read a guys blog on thumpertalk that had one and he said after awhile the motor loosened up and it went faster! Has anyone else noticed this because my manual said 56mph tops and I think it may go faster.
