A SKOUUTERRR observation! LOL

It seems to me that there was a huge inflow of the "250cc class" Chinese scooter's back a few years ago. Now, out of curiosity, I looked on you tube the last few days and there have been virtually no recent reviews on them. And furthermore, the selection is not all that great anymore.
Yet, at the same time, Yamaha has released the new Smax, a true 70+ mps 155cc scooter. Honda's sales of the PCX seem to be steady, though the Forza 300 is stalling out from what the 4 dealerships told me.
I can only assume that the ( piss poor ) quality of Roketa scooters has a lot to do with this.

The Saga 250 scooter that my Pastor had was reliable enough, but it the low quality really showed. I was happy when he sold it and bought a Burgman.

TGB has a 264cc scooter, the Bellavita. It is not one of those 'maxi' scooters, however. It was supposed to come to the US, but the engine's supplier, SYM, decided not to sell them engines anymore, so it seems like it won't be going anywhere (other than where it already is in 125cc form) for a while, until they come up with their own engine. This is what I heard from TGB's US distributor.

As far as the Chinese 'maxi' scooters go, the same distributor used to carry Xingyue's large scooters, and had nothing but warranty issues with them. Come to think of it, Xingyue is the same company that started introducing the 400cc motorcycles under their own name, and Pitster Pro's name, and those had many issues, too.
