Great off, and on-road!!
Received a call from my shipping company today telling me they cannot deliver it because their smallest truck's (for local deliveries) liftgate was too tiny for the enormous RX3 crate. I took the whole day off and wasn't waiting a few more days / week til they could get another truck that could do it - and my other bike is my only transportation.
Long story short - it's great that this bike is basically ready to ride!!! My buddy and I took a ride up there, unpackaged it, and threw it together in about a half hour, and off I rode! What a bike. First couple miles during stopping the bike was wobbling in the front end - this was just due to the new pads / rotors / tires, it's all good now. Made it home, took a break, then it was time to take it to the trail! Amazing. I did some single-track through sand / dirt in the woods, amazingly nimble - it doesn't feel like it's 400 lb! Great fun on the road too..can't wait til I can crank it over ~5k rpm. I do have a few questions: 1) I bought an Emgo collapsible shift lever that was in the compatible parts list. I tried to put it on but I didn't feel like taking a hammer to it...is that what I have to do? I'm guessing the powder coating on the inside splines is causing the resistance? 2) Looks like there's not much space on the handlebars...especially after I mount some hand guards...I don't think I'll be able to use the ram mount I currently have for my phone with the limited space. What kind of phone setups do yall have? 3) I'm at 70 miles. My chain already seems pretty slack, basically I could push it up to the swing arm while it's on the side stand...is it already time to readjust? I didn't get to measure it cause I was just poking around.

You just got today, is that a L. plate on it? Red looks good in that bright sunlight.

Congrats Surfndirt on getting your bike and riding it home. And great that you're putting it to use right away! The bike looks great!
I don't have answers to the other questions, but I believe the handlebar space issue was related to the narrower bars that Zongshen had put on the bike. I think CSC is suppsoed to send out the wider bars when they receive it.. That may open up some real estate on the bar to mount your RAM phone mount. |

Hmm now that I think about it - I tried to fit it when the engine...and subsequently the gear shift shaft were hot. I'll give it another try when it's cold, that should do it

If the drive chain requires a tight grasp to barely touch the swingarm, it's probably adjusted properly. However, if you can easily grasp the chain to the swingarm with a lot of slop, it is too loose.

Those of us who bought our RX3 bikes last year, in the first shipment, assembled the bikes ourselves. Nevertheless, I got my license plate immediately after completing the assembly, and went riding the same day.

Good for you. The K270 tires will also last a long time. I suggest you keep the air pressure in both tires at 28 psi, plus or minus 2 psi.
