TT250 Skid Plate on Hawk 250

Ordered a CSC skid plate for the TT250, with plans to powder coat it and mount it on my Hawk.

http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/TT250-...p/csc-1109.htm

Did a coat of red which normally would be enough, but considering how many times I've cased the bike I decided to throw an extra clear coat on top to hopefully help with durability.

The fit is pretty close, but the bottom brackets are not yet flush, so I made need to bend the bottom section in a little bit more just to get those to brackets to sit flat.

I'll probably hit the bike with the pressure washer when I strip it down to work on the rear swing arm pretty soon, lol.

Did you p.c.the front wheel red too? Are you going to color the rear wheel red too?

The cover looks amazing. That bike will/does look ike a high dollar Japanese bike .

The front is actually a pro-wheel, I bent the front rim and found a cheap replacement online that was already red. I do think I'm going to take apart the rear wheel and coat the rim, though.

That looks GREAT!....but I do find it a bit funny that all of us are sitting here patiently waiting the arrival of our TT250's...and the very first TT250 part that went out went on a Hawk! LOL!

Sorry to dig up an old thread...
I've been doing some research trying to find an engine bash plate for my Pitster Pro XTR250. I came across this CSC TT250 plate which looks to be the closest possible fit for the XTR.
The frame setup seems to be the same on the TT, Hawk and XTR(and probably a lot of other Chinese bike using this engine). A square down tube to a bolted on engine mount and double tube under mount frame.
Am I way off here? Or should this CSC skid plate be, at least, a close fit?

I think you can make it work. Only thing that might not match up is the hole for the oil drain .

I don't think the oil draining will be an issue, it just drains out the side and from the looks of the skid plate it seems open on that side.

I was talking about the drain plug on the bottom of the engine. If you're using the side oil screen plug then you will have no problem.
