Doh! Hawk Gas Gauge :(

Bought my Hawk about a year ago and I am generally pleased. However my gas gauge has worked for about 3-5 minutes total. Not that I really need a gauge having reserve on the tank, but is is a bit annoying always seeing the needle on E!

I have checked the wiring etc to no avail.

Anyone have any insight on what may be jinxing my Hawk's gas gauge?

Thanks
wilser

I have not looked at my tank underneath, so just a wild guess. can the gauge be removed and perhaps check it? possibly something inside is bad.

however, my first thought was a .40 S&W.

Mine was broke from the very beginning, but, I never put enough gas in the tank at first to find out due to the tank being all scratched up and a replacement was coming. Q9 ignores all requests for a replacement instrument panel but did send a new tank.

Hmm, what could be the problem here:

On chinese scooters quite a lot of gas gauge problems come from the float sticking and rubbing on sides of tank. The hawk could possibly have the same problem.
