I am assuming you have a rear disk brake, since you mentioned draining it... The piston in the caliper is probably binding, you could try taking it apart and see why it is binding, could be defective piston, or the cyl wall could be scored, and it is catching on it. Might be easiest to just switch out the caliper.

The stopper bolt on the pedal might be adjusted too tightly?

You need to adjust the plunger portion of the rear master cylinder out further.

I think you will need a 13mm wrench and a pliers to turn the shaft with.

I had the same problem and this is what helped. You can try the pedal adjustment bolt, but that didn't go far enough and I still had problems until I adjusted the master.

To release it if it sticks just use a 8mm wrench to crack the bleeder valve.

Allen is 100% correct.
You need to adjust the bolt between the rear brake pedal and the rear brake master cylinder to give it a little more free play.

What happens id the bolt is not letting the master cylinder piston come back all the way to let the brake fluid back into the cylinder.

This was a fairly common problem that seems to have an easy fix.

It should only take a few minutes unless yours is like fatboys and you have to remove part of the bolt.
