Why haven't they?
Every time I look at chinese bikes, I'm always left wondering this question:
A lot of these companies replicate a number of smaller honda bikes. Both modern and retro versions. And some come up with their own standard bikes, but why haven't they started spitting out clones of some of the more popular retro bikes?? Why not create replicas of some the old Honda CB's?? Would a 50 year old sohc air cooled 4cyl be that hard to produce? |

Price and cost of getting the larger engines through emissions testing to be approved for the US and some other major countries.

Even if they did come out with something cool, they'd undoubtedly name it something ridiculous. I think "Hawk" is about the most normal name I've heard.
Could you imagine Honda making a WIL, Tank or Kandi?

I suspect that part of it is rooted in whatever they are already manufacturing. I doubt they spend much time designing products for our use, since we're such a small part of their market.
