RPS Hawk 250 tires

Hi China riders have been lurking for a couple weeks now and was interested in buying and registering the Hawk 250 from txpowersports for myself in Indiana.

I like that it will be drop-shipped from RPS much like the Tao Tao kids atv we just got recently. Was pretty happy with its condition though the rims and rear axle could be a little straighter. Figured the manufacturer is a little looser on their specs for their cheaper toys. But I'm getting off topic.

My concern and what i'd like to know is if the RPS Hawk 250 knobbies are DOT stamped/rated. From what I can tell it's seems to be the sticking point in the registration process. Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard. Yes they are DOT stamped.

That's what I wanted to hear I was aware of another gentleman on this forum who registered a couple in my state but I wasn't sure which Hawk 250's he had. I've seen some with smaller more street-type tires. Thanks!

The ones with smaller street tires where probably the Bashan Storm, Shark or Brozz.

Welcome. There is only one Hawk, but they are all clones of the Honda NXR160 Bros. And just have different bits stuck on them depending on the importer.

I too am from Indiana and I bought mine from txpowersports as well. Ups freight will bring it right to your house and even put the crate in your garage for you. Assembly is quick and easy. I put mine together in about 2 hrs. Then I went through and did a ton of work to it to make it more road worthy. There is a thread on here that tells you all about it. For the cost of the hawk and another $300 you can buy a digital cluster, new tubes, wheel bearings, spark plug, and all fluids (and a few other odds and ends) and have a very solid bike. Titling was very easy. Since the bike is from out of state you will have to have a vin check done by the police dept. Take that paper with you to the license branch with bill of sale and certificate of origin. Manny will send these desperate and you will get them in the mail about 5 days after you get your hawk. This will give you plenty of time to set the bike up RIGHT. Good luck in your new adventure!
