Can someone identify this bike for me?
Before I purchase this bike for $700, I would like more info. Can someone identify the model so I can Google for more info?
http://tucson.craigslist.org/mcy/564517482.html Also, if anyone has some insight, opinions or advice, I would really appreciate it. After reading some posts, my main concerns are part availability, loose bolts, idling issues and weak inner tubes, etc. Thanks in advance |

Very hard to tell. However, I won't buy anything online over $20 that doesn't have a picture of the actual item posted.
I would question the condition of the bike if the owner will take the time to photograph the manual cover and not the bike itself.

I had more details in the 'introduce yourself' section, but apparently, KPX still has a site, but not sure if they are truly in business. They seem to have relocated to Gilbert from Tucson, if they are.
(KPX used to be, or still, is a manufacturer/importer of Zongshen enduros--they were headquartered in Tucson) This might be the bike: http://www.kpxmotors.com/motorcycle.html

Thanks for the advice guys. I pinned down the seller and found out it is in fact a KPX 150GY. Bought here in Tucson. He told me parts are interchangeable with 1984 Honda XR125 ?
The thing is.... the guy will not budge from $700. I must get a bike by Saturday. Budget is $1300, Time is running out and options are low. |

Do a good bike prep before you ride any any bike you buy. Check and tighten everything. 8) |

I would go for at least a 200cc and would only buy a bike with front and rear disc brakes! I have never liked drum on the rear.
I would also buy new and go over the bike with lock tite! |

If you have $1300 to spend then look around some more.
Why do you need it by Saturday? Can you get by alittle longer? Brian at www.motoxtreme.net will ship you new one fast. Tim at vbike has favorable reviews also and OK is not that far from AZ. http://www.vbike.us/index.php?page=showpro&spid=29 $1199 shipped. Allen

I think you'd be better off going for one of those Sierra 200's on ebay for $899 new then the 2004 150. I'd say the 150 is priced a tad high since you can find used 200's usually cheaper.

Thanks a lot. You all probably saved me some cash, time and frustration.
He still will not budge and actually raised his price to $770 because when cleaning it up, he noticed it was a '05 instead of '04. http://tucson.craigslist.org/mcy/565663003.html One thing I am curious about is that he says he is asking so much, because it is a "straight Arizona title"? What difference does that make? The reason I am in such a hurry, may sound stupid, but my wife and I share a vehicle and my Mother in law is coming to town for the dreaded Gem Show and I refuse to be dragged around Tucson or stuck without a ride for 2 weeks. |
