Is there any chain adjusters that fit these China bikes?

Heyas Whisky - Are you looking to replace the internal chain adjusters that fit over the axle inside the swingarm, or the external adjusters ,i.e. the long bolt with the nuts on it for adjusting the chain in the ends of the swingarm with the rectangular plate?

I want to replace the entire adjuster. I had read that OTB adjusters for the grom fit but had heard they need to be beatin in the swing arm to fit.

Ever think about going with an aftermarket aluminum swing arm? I hear they are better all around. They have actual bearings!

I got the grom ones for my hellcat. They didn't fit. Pounded one in a little and figured I wouldn't be able to adjust anything. Went back to the stock ones.

I seen a post somewhere on this forum that they installed OTB brand adjusters but can't seem to find the post it was in. They are 163 bucks so I really don't want to gamble on not fitting. There isn't anything wrong with the stock ones but my biggest worry when riding is things breaking or falling off.

That's one of the post about the chain adjusters but there's another one. It's strange how some will fit and some dont. Could the tolerances be that much different.

I think there is some variance. Chinese bike manufacturers have a tendency to switch suppliers. Since the Vader and Hellcat are based on the Honda Grom, all the parts should interchange. Unfortunately, there is some variance. I’ve heard of some people having to file the rear swing arm bushings to get it to fit.

I’m going to try and get an aftermarket aluminum swing arm to work on my Hellcat. I’ll post my results.

As far as I know , there isn't any guaranteed "no problem it will fit and work " way to address the chain adjuster issue on Vaders / HellKats. The internal OEM Grom chain adjusters are very,very tight in a Clone swingarm so to free them up in order to be able to use some aftermarket external adjusters ,you'd have to have them milled down some ,maybe if you had a big belt sander that might work as well .There does appear to be enough "meat" on them to allow for this and still be functional, strong, and safe.

If you go the replace the entire swingarm and get decent chain adjusters included ,again sometimes they go right on, and sometimes some milling down of the bushings is required which may require once again access to a machine shop or other means

( filing, grinding, sanding, etc) which you may or may not have the tools on hand to do, etc.

This is part of owning a Chinese Grom clone ,all of the Builders use various Suppliers and switch according to price and availability so there is a lot of inherent variation, sometimes you get one Grom parts will go right on, and sometimes you get one that

requires a bit more ingenuity and effort to make stuff work (fit ).

Personally , if the OTB Adjusters are 163.00 US., I'd just swap the entire swingarm out since you can get a better aftermarket aluminum one for about 50$ more ,and it comes with decent , dependable chain adjusters already there . Either one is about 200$ US including Shipping ,Tanaka parts are real big in Japan and they have a good reputation, but then again the hoop style offers some extra strength for a tad more weight and comes in a range of colors, so I have to make my mind up which I want to go with .

No but what RedCrowRides is pretty much spot on. There may be some modifications needed (grinding/cutting) to get things to fit.

My personal opinion is go with something that is going to be durable. Especially if you're going to stunt or thrash on the bike.

The hoop design is going to hopefully be stronger. But it also depends on the aluminum/steel that is used.

The Kepspeed one is popular on the facebook groups and people have been getting engines, parts, etc. delivered to the U.S. with no issues.

I haven't swapped mine out yet. The factory one is ok with me. When I need to change the rear tire... I may swap it out.
