Hi from California!

Hi there! My bf and I are the proud new owners of a 2017 Taotao Hellcat 125cc! I just got my M1 permit 2 weeks ago, so we needed something small for me to start on. (Keep in mind im 4'10", so hopefully our threads with inspire smaller riders like me!) I haven't able to get off the damn thing, I even dream about riding!

First things first, aesthetically it was covered in stickers! Even on the inside of the plastics. We took a heat gun to those right away and gave it a nice wash. So here it is, at that point after some cleaning up.

First Stage! Getting it home

Let me start off by saying we did not buy it off of a retail seller, this was bought used and already modified by a local-ish guy in our area, who used it as a commuter.

Stage 1: Buying it and packing it in the trunk to take home 100 miles away!

Seller removed the 125cc stock engine and put in a 140cc Piranha engine. After the engine swap the motorcycle is now a semi automatic We bought it with upgrades. He gave us additional add-ons and original parts and they were; aftermarket handlebar, aftermarket grips, adjustable clutch/brake levers, a tire pressure digital monitor, digital battery monitor/charger, stock mirrors, aftermarket oil cooler, stock piranha engine/chain cover,, new chain, LED add-on lights and gloves for my bf.

Here's a picture from the original owner:

Where on the forum is the best place for me to continue posting modifications on my hellcat? Should i continue here or move to another part of the site and provide a link from this page to the other one? And what part of the site should i start my build thread?

Thanks!

Welcome, nice bike. The street section would probably be the best section to list your upgrades and projects. How much difference did the 140cc make?

Thanks, i will post there and add the link here for anyone interested on the build.

I never rode the motorcycle with the original engine. When we test drove it the 140cc was already on and running. My top speed has been 66mph after my bf and i put a lot of work into transforming the bike into something more streamline, high performance and a lot safer.
