Opinions on Apollo vs. Brozz vs. Hawk
Hi Everyone:
I've been lurking for a while, finally decided to post a question. I've been looking at the Apollo 250 deluxe. I'm surprised that I don't see more threads about that bike. It seems like a nice bike, but it also doesn't seem very popular. In contrast, the Brozz seems to have taken off. It seems like the most popular bike right now. Opinions on the Apollo 250 Deluxe vs. the Brozz vs. the Hawk? And, why isn't the apollo more popular on the forum? I posted in the pit bike forum too (also looking for recommendations for electric kid's dirt bikes). |

Welcome aboard! The Brozz has been around for a few years that's why you can find more information on it. The Apollo Deluxe has been out less than a year. We do have a few members that have bought them and they seem to like them. The Hawk is a good basic Dual Sport. Kind of the plain Jane that you can modify to your liking. The Hawk is technically not street legal but can be registered in many states. But check with you DMV before buying Unless you buy the New Hawk DXL which is Fuel injected and street legal. The Brozz Which is sold by PeaceSportsAtlanta has a good reputation and has parts available. Jeff who is a member on here sells them.

You might want to look at the MotMax250 Super Moto too but won't be available till October. You can pre-order. The price will go up once they hit the US. https://shop.brozz250.com/eshopprod_...Super_Moto.htm

I love my 2019 Hawk 250 DLX so far and very happy with my choice. But I am going to keep an eye on this MotoMax250 for an addition next spring. My boys and Nephew keep nabing the Hawk and forget who owns it. Great question!

If I was doing this all over again, I would look for the cheapest bike with a counterbalanced motor. Everything else is upgradeable with better components than you'll get on any version, at a potentially lower overall cost to you.

Hawk = workhorse blank canvas. Nothing fancy, geared and setup for primarily off road riding with its larger wheels and knobby tires. Change and set it up to your hearts desire. With the right care and thorough setup it can last a very long time, results may vary a bit on parts quality so it is a better bike for the mechanically inclined.
Brozz. A road bike with mild off road capabilities thanks to its smaller wheel combination and gearing. While the quality of the parts being better is arguable, the QA process is seemingly better, so there are fewer out of the box things to deal with. I can't give much.opinion on the Apollo, but they have a good frame and come with the newer gen ohc engine.

I'd say which ever suits your best needs straight outa the box.
In a way the OHC engine has a horse or 2 extra over the CG push rod and possible cam upgrade. Legally license would play a part? Kinda what ever ticks the most boxes IMHO Popular is something everyone does, right or not isn't considered in popular |

Have not heard much about the ohc engine as far as reliability or basic mods to make more power ? I wish my TBR had a better headlight bulb ( H6M ) i think an H4 would be much better ? Does anyone know what headlight bulb is in the Apollo ? Also is the weight savings from an aluminum swing arm and aluminum rims ? |

I like the twin spar frame of the apollo. Adjustable shock with linkage, upside down fork, and OHC engine of'course. Nice of them to come out with a Dual Sport version. I just wish the gas tank is bigger?

Just my 2 cents....check out the BMS250crp....bigger tires....but on the sites on the net, the seat height is incorrect. More of 35 inches, but we had to lower it. You can check out my thread, and the thread of northrider here.
NICE pixs of Apollo above!!!! thanks for that info!
