TBR7 chain tensioner plate
Went for a long ride today and had some problems with the chain tensioning system. Chain jumped a few time and then the chain fell off a few times. It seems the plate (pictured) crushed in a bit and produced excessive slack in the chain. Has anyone else had a problem with the plate crushing inward? Seems like the "plate" is made of some sort of weak chinesium. I thought I could just cut some mild steel 1/8" and replace. Thanks for any advise.

i have taken apart that tensioning system and it looks like the plate needs to be flipped over.... is all....probably the manufacturer put it on backwards....it is a chinese bike after all ....
![]() the washer idea sounds like it could work too if you need more tension.......i have had my stock chain stretch and jump off.... but i need to adjust it properly.... my guess is that loose chains fall off, ones that are too tight could break.
