TBR7 electrical issues

Went for a long ride the other day and noticed that the cluster was intermittently turning off. The bike was still running with no issues. I turned the bike off and now the nothing flickered on the dash. It does kick start and now the cluster comes on when running. I took much of the bike apart. Finding wires mangled near the headlight. I disconnected and no change. I checked the battery and 12.8v there. Connections to battery cleaned. Still no change. Anyone have any suggestions? Also i guess I'll need a new wiring harness to the headlight. Might be a good time to go LED. Thanks for any suggestions.
