this is a very important question:

The GY-7 is the old school enduro that Supersignet is riding and we all covet because it is not available in the States or Canada.

It could be named a GY-7, but won't be the same bike that suprignet rides (and teases us with :x ) in those cool beach shots in China.
![]() The names of these GY's can sometimes be like the names the online dealers give them, such as db-01, db-02, etc. Other dealers use the same code, but have a completely different bike. Hooper Imports used to have a bike named the GY-3 or something like that, and several manufacturers offer the 200 GY-A which are fairly different from each other. However, if it is an American Lifan dealer, it would be a GY-5 or a leftover GY-2 most likely, but sadly, won't be that cool Shineray (yet...we will have ours one of these days, darn you suprignet, darn you!!)

GY-7.. Where are the pics!?
I herd of a GY 6 coming to Canada very soon. It is a 250cc! Don't mean to get off topic, If you are good or fair mechanically go for it, they are awesome bikes just little stuff here and there to work on or fix. Most any bike will require matinance, these might require a tad more but its all small easy stuff, well worth the savings. |

"luxury" of a dealer, I get it
It ends up being more of a hassle bringing the bike back and fourth for stupid little things that would take you less time to fix then it takes driving to the dealer not even counting the time it sits in their garage while they are finding time to work on it. |

Porterz, this was just in case he wasn't too mechanically inclined, and didn't want to feel like he would be stuck with a broken bike if he couldn't figure out any problems that come up. However, I guess being a trailer dealer, means they might want to sell him one to haul his (possibly) broken bike around.

I didn't see a GY7 on the american lifan website, but that doens't mean much. They can be slow to update it.
The pics skidder posted show the GY7 available with a 250cc engine. It also has a full frame and some other improvements over the gy5. As far as reliable. Mine has 8100kms and had never stranded me. Allen
