Need chain slack figures for hawk, brozz, tbr7, all chinese bikes. Post yours.

Hey all, I am working on something that will benefit all of us. But I need the chain slack number for all the usual chinese bikes, not just enduro.

Hawk, Brozz, TBR7, Magician, SG250 etc

For example, the TT250 is 15mm from mid point.

A HUGE thing to keep in mind with the TT250 measurement is that it is 15mm of free play from the tightest point of the chain WITH the suspension compressed to the tightest point of the chain in the swing arm arc. NOT with the swing arm fully extended down while it is in the air or on a stand.

That method also works for the Hawks, but I have found that at full extension about 1 1/8" slack on the tightest spot of the chain worked best.

This has to do with the rear suspension geometry in relation to the front sprocket. As the rear swing arm travels upward the distance between the sprocket center and axle center increases, thus making the chain tighter.

Megadan is correct. Almost every chain drive bike is the same. 10mm to 20mm movement at the tightest point.
