The little digital tach/hour meters work well and are super cheap and easy to install. The disadvantage is that they have a small display and aren't quick to update.

Digital Tach

It took a bunch of wiring work but I installed this digital instrument cluster. I am really happy with it and can offer guidance on how to install one. I even have a template to create the mounting bracket.

You can also see the phone charger/voltmeter/temperature and tire pressure gauge in the photo. For $110 I got the same digital data as a KTM or BMW provides. These photos were taken during the install the final is very buttoned up.

Do you think that cluster will fit behind the stock headlight plastic?

It does fit behind the stock headlight. I will grab a photo of mine. It is tight but actually looks pretty good.

Final Digital Cluster

Here are the photos of my final installation of a new digital cluster. I managed the digital cluster, a tire pressure sensor, voltmeter and USB charger for $110.

I am setting the bike up for a long distance ride in Africa.

Since the cool digital gauges from Matt are unobtanium or getting eBay's overpriced ($95) unit, does it come with a somewhat understandable instruction booklet? I'd also like to see what it looks like with the headlight attached?

The windshield is from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

The tire pressure guage is mounted with a simple bolt on the custom bracket I had to make for the Tach/Spedo
