Federal Certification Label Verication

I've been trying to get my Duel Hawk 250 registered with the Wisconsin DMV for some time now. They are asking for a picture of my "Federal Certification Label" on my bike. Which I cannot find anywhere only the Emissions sticker. They also said if I can't send a photo I could fill in the information on the form.

I need the information for "Manufactured by"
"GVWR"
"GVWR Front"
"GVWR Rear"
"Type"

Can anybody please help me??

The Hawk does not have one. The TBR7 and some other models do. The TBR7 has a metal placard indicating it meets federal road compliance standards or something like that on the swingarm.

You may have to research more creative routes to get it registered, but you will have to ask others how. I was not willing to complicate my life with an out of state registration option when the TBR7 was just fine, on the approved list, properly certified and cheaper.

This was the reason I did not buy it for New Jersey and went with the TBR7.

Somebody with a Hawk DLX may be able to provide you with the general info such as the Manufactured by.. and the GVWR info .I would guess that the actual placard on a DLX would have the bikes serial number on it.

That is exactly the reason why I wouldn't buy a Hawk here in Colorado. (Although some have said they have but I don't know who) Mine doesn't have a vin on it so maybe someone with a DLX will help you out. This is what it looks like:

The Bashan bikes, and I assume other 49 state legal bikes will likely have this one as well. On my Brozz it is on the heavy vertical tube that the front end attaches to.http://.
