Looking for real GY Oil Filter

Hi, new here got my bike a couple weeks back. Looks like more and more people in the area are picking up Lifans so I decided to try one out. I just did my second oil change and im looking for a real oil filter. There is this stupid screen that comes on my bike now but the holes are larger then any metal flakes that could possibly come from the new casting unless something serious broke. It does not trap any of the small metal shavings that come out when I drain my oil, in fact there is nothing in the screen at all and never has been. I need a real filter to trap the break in shavings that litter my oil.

Is it possible to buy a real filter to protect the engine?

might coinsider just a smaller mesh screen, I am not so sure these bikes have the stones to pull oil through an actual filter. I took an eathen magnet and stuck it to the drain plug. Granted it dosent get the non iron particles but it is better than nothing.

That's what I was thinking of doing, putting a magnet in there. It's unfortunate that we don't have filters. I guess no one knows much about them on here as I just looked and 60 people read my post and you where the only one to reply, thanks 8O

Hi GY_Racing

FYI: That is the same Screen filter that Honda has been using for the same sized engine since the early 70's. There is not a filter that will fit in the area where the screen goes. Honda didn't change the 200cc engine till the 90's and added a filter on the right side of the engine after they redesigned the 200cc engine.
Most younger people dont know this. This is the first time I have had time to look through and answer questions lately. I know because I have been working on bikes for 35 years and still work on bikes that go back into the 50's.

Oil Filter

If it's like my engine, there is a centrifugal oil filter on the clutch side of the engine. The oil goes through a rotating chamber that traps the fine particles. I cleaned mine when I changed my clutch, it only had a little grey paste in it.

It is, and it does. No maintenance needed for 25,000 miles, I believe.
