Hey everyone- Looking at a X-Pro Titan 250
Hi everyone I am new to this site and ended up here because I am very interested in the X-Pro Titan DLX 250 for my first bike. Before I order I would like to have all my mods ordered so I can put it all together at once. This thread seems to have all the titan experts on it so I was wondering if I could get some help.
Here are a few questions: I live in Colorado and intend on riding at higher elevations (6000'-9000'), would a Nibbi performance PE30 carb fit in the bike and is it the correct size? also what are your jet kit recommendations. Also what other Mods should I plan on ordering initially? Thanks for all the help. Lee |

The stock carb is jetted lean for emissions, presumably for operation at or near sea level. Possibly since you are at elevation, it will be perfect as is. I wouldn't modify the fuel system until I tried out the stock one.

Bashan Storm
I just changed the oil on my Bashan Storm after under 400 miles in one year. I changed it after heating up the engine when I got it, so this is the first real oil change.
I haven't adjusted the valves yet, but it starts instantly, runs great at under 400 miles. Don at Advanced Product Merchandise adjusted the price and shipping when I contacted him last Spring and I was amazed what I ended up with. Bottom line was excellent. But beyond that, the carbureted Bashan Storm has been flawless, which was a pleasant surprise. He has black and red Storms now. I don't like EFI. Carbs are easier to maintain (and jet/tune), and they don't "fail" like the fuel pumps do with an EFI engine. EFI isn't worth the extra expense to me. |
