2021 Hawk DLX 250 ECM Tuning Project Help

I've decided to try to properly tune my bike rather than convert it to a carb using the tools I've recently found. I've done a lot of research and purchased a usb adapter to connect to my laptop and use HUD ECU Hacker along with uploading MotoCheez's 1.0 Tune to start with.

First I want to download the manufacturers tune so I can return to a starting point when or if things htf. I would like suggestions of things to adjust and test along the way to see what works best!

I'm considering purchasing the Rolling Wrench Wideband O2 sensor to help with this project and help with tuning the AFR to a Stoich ratio (neither too rich nor lean).

What I'm looking for is for this bike to Idle, Accelerate Smoothly through WOT and be reliable/last a long time. I have a Suzuki V-Strom 650 I can run down the Interstate with and take long trips on. The Hawk will hopefully be my intown putter.

If anyone has experience with these tools and can give me advice on how to implement them, I would be very thankfull!

After the same thing...

Hey John. John Mullen here (in Surprise, AZ). I know even less about "how to get there". If I found someone I could send my Delphi ECU to and have them charge me to load a good map, I would probably do that. I'm going to be upgrading my DLX to the Motocult stage 3 kit. So I REALLY know how much more fuel I'm going to need, for the final set up. If you care to compare notes, don't hesitate to email me direct. I'm at johnmullen2011@live.com Thanks, John
