Templar tool kit?

Hey guys and gals, where and what tools are you carrying on your Templars? I need to put together a tool kit and would prefer to store it on the bike instead of a backpack. Below are some tools that I know I want. What else do you suggest? Also, any thoughts on running tire slime as a preventative? (no planned hwy use) TIA

tire irons
tube patch kit
adjustable wrenchs (lg & sm)
Templar specific allen wrenches
#2 philips screwdriver
spark plug wrench
spark plug
spare fuse

Yeah, the burrito tube works good to store most of that stuff. A small tail or tank bag as well, depending on your preferences.

Works for me. Sometimes you have to hold the Ctrl key when hitting the link.

It works for me now, must've been a temporary Amazon or www issue. The new tab just kept trying to load but never did. That tube is exactly what I was looking for. Now all I need is a place to mount it. If I can't find a good spot I may look into a tank bag like Megadan suggested.

While you're at it you could upgrade the wrenches. I use Gear Wrench combination wrenches, So I have a ratcheting box wrench on one end and the same size open on the other. I also carry the appropriate smaller sockets and a small ratchet, and a tire pressure gauge. First I try out what I want to bring to see if it will work for me; i.e. do I need extensions, a U-joint, adaptors?

Good advice. You're right about needing some real wrenches and a small socket wrench with at least a short extension and 8 & 10mm sockets. Adjustable wrenches aren't enough. I'll have to check and see what size wenches I need. I also forgot the obligatory pliers and/or vice grips.

Is it worth carrying a little bicycle air pump? I've never tried to air up motorcycle tires with one but that is the largest air pump I'd carry daily.

I like the Harbor Freight colored sockets, so you can instantly tell them by color. I bought both the short and long metric sets for 1/4" drive. https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-...ece-67875.html

If I'm using one of those burrito tubes to carry things, all the small parts go into a sandwich bag. Sockets, spare chain master link, etc.

A small bicycle air pump, i.e. the kind you actually clip to the bicycle, is gonna take forever to pressurize a motorcycle tire. But if you need it, you need it. I'd go with a long Zefal like this one, rather than trust a Chinese one in a critical situation. I like that it has a hose, so it is easier to use. The shorter the pump, the more strokes it will take to get the job done, obviously.

Actually I see no need to carry a bicycle pump at all, except for long trips/adventure riding. Just buy a much larger bicycle pump and air the tires up as needed at home. I'd recommend a high volume one like this yellow one in the 650 cm3 volume.
