Sprocket swap for XMoto

Has anyone swapped their rear sprocket? This one came with a 60 tooth rear and man it limits the top speed! Very quick though! I want to replace it with maybe a 42 tooth.

Also, is there a good process for removing links from the chain? I don't know if it requires a special tool, etc.

Rusty

Hey Rusty:
I deleted your identical post in the dirt forum. Usually 1 post is all you'll need.

Most people have swapped their sprockets. 60 teeth does seem very high. I used a 17/46 combo for street.

For dirt, and where to get your sprocket, I'm sure others will help out.

How many teeth on your counter sprocket?

xMotos X35 is there racing model.

Hey Rusty,

That is a nice bike. I brought in two of them for samples this last summer and I am very happy with what xMotos makes. Probably one of the best dirt bikes out of China in my opinion and I have looked at a lot of them. I spent 3 months over there last year just shopping for products.

Anyway, I am not sure if I have the right sprocket for you in stock but I can check if you don't mind buying from Canada.

And for shortening the chain, there is a chain breaker tool that you can buy (no I don't have them for sale) and they work fairly well and they are not too expensive. Or you can grind the pins down and then use a punch to tap them out.

Cheers,

Art
