Title in TN
It's like this. I bought a used panterra a while back and need to title it. All I have is a bill of sale, not notarized. I don't even know for sure what year it is. It was sold as a 05 but I can't find anything to verify it. The VIN stamping is LLCHYP10141001038. If this can provide any type of info I would like to know. What can I expect when I try to get it registered and so forth? Is there anyway to get a MCO for it? Thanks for any help.

That is why I bought a used bike already titled in Tennessee. I had read too many horror stories about registration issues to try any other way.
Check this link for the form and info for using a bill of sale to get a title. certification of ownership To see all the info: TN DOT Title and Reg Give your county clerk a call and ask if this is what will work. Hope the answer is in there. Bill |

However, I think it's common for a bike to be manufactured (and stamped) one year, then registered as the following year model. For example, my Lifan is registered as an 08, but the frame says it was built in 07. Hope that helps in some way. Sorry I can't be much help with getting yours tagged. On a side note, I know where there's a 07/08 Lifan for sale...already tagged and ready to ride!
