Apple Valley to Pearblossom Ride Report

After being delayed a few hours, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to finish this one. The plan was to head out the north side of AV and loop out to Pearblossom with a return via the foothills/mountains.

First fuel stop. Time to top it off before we get started.

Just outside the CEMEX access road. Headed north from here towards Stoddard Wells Rd., past the cart track.

The powerline road just north of Dale Evans.

I know there's an access road to those towers on the other side of the hill. Another time though. Need to get moving.

I missed my turn towards Oro Grande and decided to get a shot of the river and my loyal steed.

On the powerline road headed towards Pearblossom.

Wow first water crossing. Actually water(sortof) in Sheep Creek.

Oops, wrong side of the tracks....Better get rolling before I'm ganked.

Gas stop in Pearblossom. Halfway there! No issues yet!

North of Pearblossom, following Sheep Creek. What a beautiful area! And the first incident.....Not really.....The kickstand sinks in and down she goes for a nap....She's tired.(sorry no photo of a sleeping chinabike)

Valyermo, now I've been there and done that.

A few twisties to sooth the soul.(Fun on knobbies)

And back in the dirt headed north and through the foothills.

And the obligatory wildlife photo.

Another of 3 more water crossings.
