Check out the Street Only section. I think thers a good thread in there about the 250. Tranny issues, and factory support problems IIRC. Go figure. :(

I checked the street bike thread. Looks like alot of issues with the 250 twin. I just wonder if the 250(actual 230) single has the same issues.

That must be a relatively new bike. Keep looking and something should come up that is similar and then you might be able to learn more about it.

Very new bike; nice find! Vbike sold a batch of the Hi-Bird 250 enduros a few years back to many members here. The members seemed to have good experiences overall with both the bike and Vbike, and their customer service was praised over and over.

Fast forward to now, and a Hensim brand 250 enduro, and I would think you will have a decent bike--for the money. Don't go expecting the overall quality and speed of a Honda, Kawi, or Yamaha in the same engine size, but the price is right there and if these hold up as well as the Hi-Birds, you will be getting a good value.

I do think that Hensim are a decent brand, but have never offered an enduro in the US, so these will be a new bike line for them. You should be able to expect a good bike, and good service from Vbike, unless they have turned for the worse.

I bought one of those 250 Hi Bird. It's got a single. The engine is awesome. I've put over 10,000 chino-miles on it, and it still pulls strong. But, the engine mount and exhaust pipe sux big time. The frame is basically a GY-2, which sux too.

The Hensim appears to have a GY6-style frame (full perimeter). It looks very nice.

I don't know much about the bikes, but I did talk to Tim(?) at Vbike a couple years ago and he seemed like a pretty professional guy and his english is pretty decent so it's easy to communicate with him. I also remember reading from others on here and on Ebay that he would try to help out in any way possible if you had any problems trying to get plates for it.

You were one of the Guinea pigs, Dragon. There were a few of you guys who bought the Hi-Bird 250's, and had mostly positive things to say about it; but by fall of '07, it seemed these bikes disappeared, replaced for a while by a 200 Hi-Bird, and then an earthquake and the Olympics seemed to make Hi-Bird's enduros go away

The Hensim seems to be only available through VBike as of now, as the online Hensim dealers only seem to feature ATVs and the two smaller, off-road dirt bikes.

The Hensim site says the seat height is 31.5"
The Vbike website says the seat height is 35"
Can anyone confirm this? The 3.2 gal tank is nice if you dont mind looks.

From scanning the pics I can see some improvements over the GY2 variations. First the swingarm mounting point in the frame appears to be reinforced. Second the chain adjusters look better. Next is the frame makes a full perimeter although I think that the lower section may be removable. The forks look to be fairly stout. Another positive I see is carb access. It appears to not have any part of the frame in the way. The battery is not visible so it must be under the seat.

I don't care for the plastics too much, but the seat looks interesting. Not sure if it would be comfortable or not. Also appears that no luggage rack is available.

Previous comments and reviews of other hensim products have been pretty positive. I would think that this bike would be a good value at $1300.
