Stupid Question
How does the emergency kill switch work? I am having a hard time removing the screws holding on the switch and wanted to know an easy way to disable it just to see if it is causing a problem with starting.
In order for the kill to work does it open or close the circuit? |

taking that switch off is going to do nothing for you. easiest way to by pass it is to follow the wires down to where they connect into the main harness down behind the head light. dissconnect the wire for the switch then connect the wires for the switch in the main harness together. then the cicuit will be closed for good. don't ride it like that though. i've had to use my emergency stop switch allot when i fall and the throttle get's stuck open. i reach over real fast or even if i know i'm going down i'll flip it on the way down. i know it's saved my motor for sure atleast a few times.

I suggest you leave it on and use it to shut-off the bike instead of the key. In a hurry it's much easier to reach than going for the key.
