Mine sheered right off at the bolt head after about 4000 miles. I think it is cheap steel. I had to search through a mountain of used bolts at a local MC mechanics garage to find a replacement.

I tried that both locally and online and had no luck in a bolt that length and diameter. That is why I finally searched out a mechanic who had a bunch of misc. ones.

Thanks - I will check it and see if there is another drain on the bootom. That all makes sense - just never looked underneath since it was marked in the manual as the drain plug.
