Ordered a new seat from CSC!
I put in kind of a big order today: skid plate, oil filters, spare brake lever, front brake rotor (warranty) ... and a new seat!
Ryan said 10 seats are coming in mid-week and I ordered the narrow model. They also have a tall seat, but I'll try this one first and see how it goes. I got pretty numb on my big ride through Poudre Canyon last weekend and I'm looking forward to a new seat for our long rides.

Good for you. Needless to say, we want to see photos of the new saddle and skid plate.

What is the pricing on the seat?
Do you exchange or replace the original seat pan? Thanks

That concerns me. My Doctor says that's bad. I hope the new seat resolves the issue.

I should have written the price for the seat down but I'm thinking it was under $250. This is a complete replacement seat with its own seat pan, not an exchange. So if I don't like it, I can put the original seat back on.
There are two styles: narrow and flatter (which is taller). Both have more padding than stock. I chose narrow to keep the relative height chose to stock. Taller riders we'll probably want the other one.

I've occasionally had similar effects from long mountain bike rides, and it sucks. Usually a new saddle fixes the problem.

I'll try my Airhawk on the RX3 when it arrives. The MG Stelvio has one of the nicest stock seaks I've ever had so Im expecting some discomfort on the RX3.
I have completed 1000+ mile days on the MG and the Triumph Tiger 1050 prior to that with stock seats and an airhawk. |

Just ordered the Tall Seat, I'll give a review once it comes in. The CSC web page shows both rider and pillion seat are replaced so again pretty good value for $250. I've done a 600 mile day on the stock seat with a sheep skin and it was tolerable but I'm hopping this makes all day in the saddle a none issue. I'm over 6' so seat hight is none issue and a little less knee bend will be welcome.

I hope both of you post threads reviewing the new saddles.

Just ordered the tall seat also.I was talking to the guy at Seat Concepts and that was when he told me that CSC had bought the rights to the seat and so sold only by CSC.He went on to tell me to get the tall one as it is more comfortable.

Tall Seat
On 9/1 I ordered a tall seat, but it hasn't been shipped yet.
Has anyone received their Tall Seat yet, and what are your first impressions? Got photos and a height comparison to the OEM seat ? Thank you. Dave

I ordered a Tall Saddle from CSC on 9/1/15. The saddle that arrived today appears to be the same height as the OEM saddle. I am surprised, I expected a taller saddle.
It's about 100 degrees outside so I'll wait till tomorrow morning to go for a ride and see how it feels. The pan is exactly the same as the OEM but there is a much bigger gap between the front saddle and the fuel tank? Interesting. I understood the tall one was taller than stock. I hope mine doesn't come in shorter!

Thanks for posting the report, and the nice photos, Dave. That saddle looks very good on your bike. We eagerly await further updates as you gain some time in the new saddle.

I also expected it to be taller but if it has better foam it will compress less and effectively be taller. I expect delivery of mine next week and will be riding to Denver over the weekend via a very roundabout route so I hope to log some good miles on the new saddle.
