Is this a reasonable price?
I'm considering selling my two RX3's. I simply cannot get my wife to feel the love (she has a TW200 she prefers). I bought them back in May 2015 while I was deployed and had them delivered on August 5th, I rode both about 3 miles and deployed again the next week. I'm back now, but can't get her back on it. She doesn't like the weight.....anyway, that's why I'm considering selling both (I have 12 other dualsports already). I like the bikes a lot, but I'm not switching from my GS's as primary bikes.
I'm thinking selling as a package, $5500 for everything. One is Blue, one is White. I bought some spare parts for future upgrades that would come with the bikes: - a complete set of white body panels including gas tank (I planned on doing a custom hydrodip for a complete color change on the White one and didn't want to NOT be able to switch back to the white if I didn't like the change) - 2 never installed 13 tooth front sprockets from CSC - 2 never installed 45 tooth rear sprockets from CSC - 2 never installed lowering links from CSC (figured that way she'd never have an excuse NOT to ride) - 1 never installed spare clutch cable The blue bike has a center stand and the most expensive aux lights that CSC sold. Both have the aux power outlets. The Blue bike has a new battery because the one that came with it was weak from the beginning. The White one has a newer battery too, because I'm me. Strangely, the White one has 50 miles on it, but I've only ridden it approx 3 miles, and the Blue has 17 (and it's also only been ridden by us about 3 miles. I didn't notice when the were delivered, but they must have had the extra miles before they were delivered. There's probably more stuff too, but I can't remember. Like I said; I really like them and MAY end up keeping them, but my shop is too full of bikes right now. I hope this isn't the wrong place to post. I am in Bandon Oregon. Email is vn_grnt@yahoo.com I welcome opinions on the price, (I won't be going up from $5500 though), I just want to know whether I'm asking TOO much. |

This is a fine place to post your announcement. However, you are also welcome to place a post in our Free Classifieds Forum.
http://www.chinariders.net/forumdisplay.php?f=130 I think your price for both bikes is certainly more than reasonable.

RX-3 is gone.
Sold it today. The new owner says he will continue to work with Dynojet Research. The are working on an O2 sensor solution.

Thank you Spud. I'll drop in from time to time. I've been looking at the ZeroS the last few days.

They advertise the S as having a 197 mile range, but that is with the extra $2500 battery pack. I'll probably be passing. There is an electric Grom coming from the copybike makers that might be worth a look.

A shameless plug for Joe Berk's new book:
I enjoyed the first one, so I thought I would try another. Lots of good info about Colombia that I didn't know. It's written in an informal, easy to read style. Wish the inside pictures were in color....but then I probably couldn't afford it. from me. jb

Having said that, Colombia was some of the best riding I've ever done, and Juan's new tour company (explained in the last chapter) is something worth looking into. I'm glad you enjoyed it. |

I didn't realize the first book had a "color photo" option. At double the price, I think I would have hesitated making the purchase. But I have enjoyed the color Colombia photos on the Blog. I enjoy your writing style. It's like you're sitting across the table sipping una cerveza. And wishing continued success with Moto Colombia. jb

Check out the CSC blog ... The RC3 is officially on its way with a special intro price. Looks nice! I didn't realize it has ABS.

Here are the rumors from China regarding future editions of the Zongshen RX motorcycles.
The RX4 will have a 350 cc engine. The RX5 will have the NC450 engine. The RX7 will have a 500 cc, V-Twin engine. I haven't heard anything regarding an RX6 bike. http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...1496%3B/page15

My Zongshen ZS200GY-2 ran for 70,000 miles, until I submerged the engine in a mud pool. However, I have resurrected the bike with a heart transplant, a 1992, Yamaha XT225 engine. If you wish, you can read about my engine transplant at the following thread.
http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=15995 Zongshen builds good motorcycles with excellent engines.
