TT250 Head Gasket Question

Does anyone know if the tt250 gasket uses the oil o-ring?
I do not see it on the CSC website and looking at the gasket I dont think it is supposed to be there.

My tbr7 had one and I reused it when I put the thinner csc gasket on, but I don't think it's needed and I don't think the csc's use them.

I reused the oil ring on my Hawk when installing the TT250 head gasket. It’s been running fine that way for 6 months now.

And I left mine out when I installed the thinner HG. I contacted CSC and they said it was not required.

I think you can go either way with it and be fine.

Got the bike back together. Put the o ring back but i really don't think it matters after all. First try at porting and polish in 35 years was a success!! Previous top speed was 64, got to 73 on the test ride. Form an idle in first to w.o.t. it will now lift the front wheel a few inches with 2.66 sprockets. It wouldn't do that before !! Thanks for all the input guys. I'd be lost in Hong Chong without this forum.

Yeah, the O ring is actually not needed, but it also doesn't hurt if you do put it in.

I keep telling the young guys on the Facebook group that the 3 biggest power gains to be had from these CG engines is the exhaust, head, and cam. If they want more get up to their go, that is where the focus should be. Now you too are a believer lol.

You're fine. I have .039" shaved off the head, the TT gasket, and the advance key. I did remove some material from the chamber to smooth things out so that will reduce it back some, and I have a cam with more overlap that lowers my dynamic compression, but my static is still 10.3:1 Never had an issue, but I also run 91.

I also did not use the O-ring on my hawk with the thinner gasket, I did however spray the gasket with Copper spray.

Just to add my $.02 :-)

The fb group has been a crazy riot lately, huh?

It's almost not worth our time anymore... feels like banging your head against a wall would be more productive.

It's always been a bit ridiculous, but as vehicle prices soared and now gas prices these little bikes are way more appealing so more young people who are tight on funds have found them, which is a good thing, but also means there are way more "experts" out there. Everybody knows everything when they are 19 years old lol.
