Templar X 250 air filter

Anyone know what other make/model air filters fit the Templar 6spd model? Would be nice to have a spare on hand to swap out.

Check posts #18 & #19 for replacement air filter details!

Emailed PSM and after several q&a emails with Zora I was told the air filter is not sold seperately. It only comes as a assembly (the entire housing) for $70 shipped.

Their factory/OEM parts support has come a long way but still isn't quite where it could be. Zora can only quote what they can get I imagine.
Anyway, back to the original question. I have no doubt in my mind that my air filter isn't bespoke. They grabbed one off the shelf for an existing application. If we can figure out what exactly that was then we would very likely have our choice of aftermarket replacements. I've looked at my filter and it doesn't ring any bells for me. Maybe if we removed one a posted up pictures of it?

google this description. It is an amazon listing for a filter for $19

Air filter motorcycle air filter for KTM 85 125 150 200 250 300 350 450 500 for Husqvarna FE250 TE125 TE250 FC250 TC125 TC250 FC350 TC85 17/14 19/16 for Husaberg FE250 FE350 FE450 FE501 Air filter

that looks real similar and fits LOTs of bikes. I wonder...???

Amazon has lots of Twin Air dome filters too. We just need to know a KTM, Husq, other model or two that the Templar filter fits.

Tusk has at least one dome filter for $20
It is part number
TK-1541153bd5-8b5508

If any of these fit the base plate, you can shim the threaded rod screw or replace it with one that fits better, and it should be fine.

If you do, tell us about it! Please!

I finally got around to pulling the stock air filter on my Templar X (250cc 6spd).

Length 7 3/8"

Width 7"

Height 2 7/8"

It has one pin to locate it on the filter cage.

*My owners manual shows a picture of a TwinAir filter on pages 36-38, but it is either a generic picture or possible a different model (maybe the 223cc motor?).

Just noticed the filter cage has a odd shape to it.

Recalled reading in another thread that Suzuki RMZ250 plastics are a direct fit on the Templar X/M's, so I took a look at air filters on Ebay. The filters (TwinAir # 153215) for RMZ 250/450 look like a close match. The o.e. Suzuki filter cage (Suzuki part #13791-35G00) also looks like a possible match.

I noticed similar with a front brake line request. You have to order the entire front brake assembly.

Sorry for posting this in the air filter thread...
Brake lines is something that should be universal. The banjo bolts are standard. The key is to get the right length and with the correct end (direction of outgoing metal tube before connecting to the hydraulic line).

You can get a pretty good length measurement with a cheap narrow flexible tape measure. I measured 51" on the front brake line for both 5 speed and 6 speed (and same fittings). You can upgrade to stainless steel at the same time. 50" is OK with slightly less poking up from the left fork over the handlebar.

ARH custom will make any (50" with any end, expensive!), but there should be a much less expensive alternative.

By the way, some have noted weak brakes on the Templars. Some of this might be brake pad quality, but SS braided lines do stiffen up the brake and make it better (did this on a 1200S Bandit with definite improvement)

I ordered a ProFilter (part #AFR-2401-00) off Ebay today (fits several Suzuki and Yamaha models) to see if it is the same as my Templar X air filter. Should have it by this coming weekend.

Got the aftermarket RMZ250/450 filter today. Unfortunately, it is not a match.

What is the best way to get access to the air filter on the Templar X 6spd? Is it one of the side panels, or do you take the bolts off on the ring of the boot?

EDIT: My bad its through the battery compartment, very clearly visible, I just missed seeing it earlier when I was in there.
