Btw, not sure if it is an issue specific to the model we get here, but in our Triax group there's been 3 of us that got our mirrors broken in the plastic pivot. No hits, not falls, nothing, just regular use.

Did this happen to any of you folks?

Mine didn't break, but they wouldn't stay adjusted in the same spot.. Also I prefer a square shaped mirror to show more behind me. So I bought a pair of Ken Sean mirrors on Amazon for about $12 each. They work great and stay where I set them.

Ye I ended up buying aftermarkets too for the very same reason. Stock mirrors may be pretty but that angle cut in the outside edge is bad functionality wise.

Hi Peperino!

Maybe this guy belongs to your riding group?

Riding in that manner is a good way to commit suicide.

I agree. It's a good explanation of why so many people hates "the bikers".

I confess, I uttered a few bad words, and I gasped several times. I can see occasional lane splitting, but not at 90km/h!

If he keeps riding in that manner, it's only a matter of time before he is either seriously injured, or killed.

Yes I've met him, but I never rode with him yet.
We told him to avoid riding like that, but hey, he's grown up and ultimately is his choice :(

I believe a fellow from Texas had a mirror with that defect. However, I have now traveled over 10,000 miles, and have dropped my RX3 three times. Yet my mirrors still remain in excellent condition.

You can purchase the stock mirrors for a very low price at Taobao. However, I would claim new mirrors under warranty coverage.

I am pleased to learn you have short, mild winters in Buenos Aires. I hate winter.

Me too. Last Winter was severe here. Had to scrape frost off the truck windows 5, maybe 6 mornings. Sucks so much.

Just realized that I have lost perspective having moved here from Spokane 11 years ago. Still don't like having to scrape frost. If I could leave for work at 0800 instead of 0700 it would be melted.

I posted a short ride report here, from our trip to Allenspark and Estes Park, yesterday. Hope you enjoy it!
