Homemade PVC fork spacers ???
I remember seeing an older post were MegaDan was discussing fork spacers for a Hawk, and he stated that while he used bronze, that PVC could work too. My question is can I just use common 3/4" I.D. / 7/8" O.D. water pipe ? Thanks

I made some 1.5" long, and I think it was too much, It didn't sag hardly any under my weight unless I plopped down kinda hard on it, and then it wasn't much. I pulled them back out, and trimmed them down to 1 . 1/8" and I think it's about right. I was surprised to see that the stock steel spacers were about 5" or 6" long. They probably skimped and used shorter than optimal springs.

As far as material. Yes PVC will hold up just fine if it is what you have. Otherwise almost any sort of metal tubing will work as well. I used bronze because it's what I had. Hard to beat free lol
