You could always wire an on/off switch for the remote box to kill power to it.

How the 60" plow fits on the Rhino
Had another snow storm the other day and the Rhino handled it flawlessly once again. It was another nasty storm where at the end it all turned to ice. Days later I noticed that a few neighbors up the hill from me never even got to clear their driveways before it all froze solid, even days later their driveways are all ice. Maybe next time I'll see if they want me to plow their driveways too, I already do my 80-year-old neighbors right next door.
One minor glitch, one of the wires for the neutral light broke where it cant be fixed at the led, so I ordered a new set of R & N lights off ebay for $6.99 delivered. To be honest I might've damaged the wire myself while pulling wires for the other accessories I added. |

We've had two more snow storms 6" & 9" since the last post on this thread, the last one was heavy wet snow the kind you hate. Again I did both mine and my neighbors' large driveways. No problems with any plow components. I haven't had any snow that I couldn't move, it's handled it all well for not being designed to.

Video of the me plowing the heavy wet 9" of snow. I had woken up at 5am and there was already the 9", so I was out there in the dark again.

Well, two weeks ago I took the plow off due to the spring-like weather we've been having, but I left the tire chains on to hedge my bet and to not tempt the snow gods. So now I'm making a formal declaration of spring by pulling the tire chains off the Rhino
![]() The Rhino made it through a typical northeast winter here in NJ plowing snow and it held up like a champ with me pushing it way beyond it's designed limits. It's a lot tougher than it looks, that's for sure. I had no problems with running the winch off the battery (while the motor was running) and even with adding electric heated grips & extra led strobe lighting into the mix. The charging system handled all the added electrical demand just fine. This month is also it's first birthday, I may wash her for the occasion... |

my name was pandemic my account was screwed up so I created a new one. anyways v bar chains scratched the concrete where it looks cleaner then the rest of the concrete I am sure it will blend in overtime. the chains without v bar work just as well and don't scratch.

The blizzard of 2021 came and went leaving us with around 33" of snow. It started snowing in the early afternoon and continued on for over 24 hours. I first went out to plow mine and my neighbor's driveways at 9:30 that evening, then again at 5:30am, then at 1pm as the snow was sputtering out. The first two plowings were nice fluffy snow that pushed fast and easy, the last plowing was heavier wetter, and was a slower harder push. There was lots of wheel spin in some spots with the heaviest & wettest snow, and that's with the aggressive v-bar chains on the rear tires. It was a heck of a workout for the little Rhino but it got through it all.

That is working pretty good .Try lifting the blade as you are getting to the pile ,it will allow you to stack it higher giving you more room on your driveway .It looks like your winch lifts pretty quickly so around 5 feet or so in front of the pile start lifting it without slowing down .
Great Job ! |
