That's a great price without the $5/gallon rebate. Where did you get it?

I've run Rotella T synthetic for over 200,000 miles in my SV and it's basically the same motor. Shifts like butter. |

People report good results with many different brands of motor oil, because there are very few bad motor oils for sale. Engine oil technology has advanced immensely over the last decade or so.

Give your motor a chance to bed in its parts and use Dino oil for your 200 (and 500 if you choose to change oil then) mile service. At 1000 miles you can switch to synthetic. Enjoy your RX-3

It is what the local NAPA charged me, we have a company account. They said the deal was better if I wanted a 5 gal. bucket. I ordered 1 gal. delivered they accidentally sent 2, so I kept them both.

SpudRider, Detours, AZRider, Danimal and in case i missed someone (getting old, memory fails me at times)
THANK YOU ALL for the clarifications & sharing your personal experiences and especially Spud, for the video link and the detailed oil type/classification info/breakdown. Was in the local neighborhood walmart and passed by the tiny automotive section, this is the only oil they had. Will go to the superstore on the weekend with a list of what you guys are using and pick up some oil. I see that the 2nd pic (i.e. the back) does NOT have the Energy Conserving mark, that Spud pointed out, not to use. Ps: A guy working at the local motor cycle accessory store plans to get 20+ of the 2016 RX3s and TT250s - to sell locally and set up a service center for these bikes. Wondering if CSC guys are going to add this route to their business model. The more the merrier i guess If that does happen, i guess, we will be famous for being the state/city with the most RX3s+TT250. Errr besides being famous for Dorothy and tornadoes |

(clarification of the double negative: If the oil has the Energy Conserving mark - do not use it in your motorcycle.)

You're welcome! Btw the Rotella T in your pic is JASO-MA approved and perfectly safe for your bike (though not my preference).
