CSC does sell the new reflector for about $100 (I bought one ) and it does spread the light better to both sides than the original reflector. Looks a lot nicer too, without the side LEDs and the smaller running light.

Just ordered 2x 3200lm with the heat sink braid on ebay for $30 shipped. If I like 1 I'll throw the other in my SV.

Thanks for posting pics of the light pattern. I can't say I like the shadow in the middle, but I like the spread. The cutoff isn't sharp, but seems adequate to my eye.
Did the LED come with any spacers? I wonder if spacing the LED in or out would improve the beam focus and reduce the shadow.
