Tank bags for our bikes?

So I know there are tank bags that work for our bikes, but what I'm looking for is something that you can leave on all the time. I've seen the ATV ones with the hole that goes around the tank opening and then they kinda hang like saddle bags. That would be fine I think but I feel like the ATV ones are gonna hang waaaaay down.

What's everyone using, if you're using one? pics?

Thanks!!

That would be cool.
Take the goofy tank plastics off and add something useful.

I looked at tank bags pretty hard but ended up going with a trunk. I found it more useful and more secured.

I don't think tank bags work well with this style of bike. Their tanks tend to be a combination of:
  1. too small/short
  2. not flat enough
  3. made of plastic or covered in plastic (so no magnetic fastening)
  4. overlapping with the saddle

How does it hold up for trail riding? I was going to do a tail back or trunk also, but thought maybe it would need to come off for trail riding.

ya I wondered, and that's why I was asking. The ATV style ones could potentially work but those tanks are wider at the top and I think the bags would hang way down on our bikes.

Small is ok, I actually want small, thats what I'm looking for up front. Something to hold my phone, maybe a map, and a first aid kit or snack or soemthing.

I'm sure it would hold up. Most of the time i remove it when off road as i don't need it then but have left it on a few times to store water and snacks for the long rides. It removes real easy with the push of one button when unlocked. I can fit a full faced helmet with room for smaller items like a extra long sleeve shirt for chilly nights and rain suit.
