Hi to the RX3 crowd
Just wanted to say Hi to the RX3 crowd on this site -- I made a lengthy post on another subforum on this site you can review for the fine details, but I just wanted to say Hi!

Dave,
I read your other post and I understand your thought process in buying the RX3. I am about the same size height and weight. I have a stable full of toys, 70's survivor Amen chopper, 70's UJB’s, newer Kawasaki Vulcan but was looking to get back into off road riding and had been looking at the KLR, GS800 and Tiger 800. I could not justify that kind of money on a bike that I know I will be dropping and wanted a bike that I could run to its limits and not have it run me to mine. Top speed is not my concern, I have bikes for that. I learned years ago when all I had was my bikes and used them to go camping that I preferred soft bags over the hard cases so the physical size did not matter. I have been running mine now for about a month commuting and I can see myself doing some long runs on it where I do not have a schedule and can take the scenic routes and not have to pound out at 85 mph. When doing my online searches I found out about the RX3 and read the reviews and looked online at the CSC Website. I liked what I saw, but, there was not anyone close to see a bike when I placed my down payment. I was just lucky enough to have friends in the UK and could vouch for the RX3 (Honley) and they know a thing or two about engineering as well. I offered my wife a bike…… once she stopped laughing at me said no, just get your new toy! |

Welcome Dave - and congrats on both purchases. I do hope we get the chance to meet as we're both in CT - and that you'll consider joining NDR - Northeast Dualsport Riders - we are ~ 130 strong from New England, NY, PA, NJ and host at least one event a week during the riding season - and several others throughout the rest of the year. I will personally invite you as my guest to join us on a NDR dirt road ride at a date that works on your calendar:

Welcome to our little corner of the world Ghan. I thought that I was a serious Zhongshen devotee, but by ordering 2, you are surely a Zongaholic. I'm sure that you and your wife will enjoy your bikes and the backing of CSC adds to the experience.

I own two Zongshen motorcycles, and enjoy both of them very much. You certainly didn't waste any time getting a pair of Zongs for you and your wife.
